Do you know about what years NGC 7 (half width hologram) was in use and what year and variety did NGC start using the Cam & DCam designations on their Proofs slabs?
Thanks, Dog
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

  • The half width hologram began sometime in 1997 and lasted through July of 2000. It was then reinstated in Sept of 2000 and continued until July of 2001. During August of 2000 NGC produced the half width hologram with the tiny digit serial numbers below the barcode. I'm afraid I can't help you with the Cam and Dcam designations but we have determined that PCGS began using them between 1990 and 1995. I would expect that NGC followed shortly thereafter. If so it would be on NGC 5 with the full width holograms, barcode, and undivided insert.
