Early eBay Sales - Were You Constantly Monitoring Your Auctions?

I'm new to selling on eBay (these are my first coin offerings) and I find myself frequently looking at my auctions to see how they are progressing. Were you the same at first? Am I being paranoid and over-anxious?

That's all part of the fun. I do it too when I list stuff.
I think I'm at the extreme though. I find myself checking every 5-10 minutes. What gets me is when there is new action and I get excited. I really think the selling side is more exciting than the buying side. I've been an eBay member for over 3 years, but, never could sell because I was overseas in the military and our APO (Air Post Overseas) P.O. would not allow us to conduct eBay selling through the P.O. I racked up over 600 positives as a buyer. I've got to say, I like the selling side. But, I still find myself buying too.

I know, I know ... I have a couple Accucraps listed. I bought those early on after re-entering the coin arena after quite a long absence (about 8 years) and wasn't well abreast of ACG's reputation. Believe me, I don't live in Florida and I'm not a supporter of Accucrap. I did mention that I think they are a "lesser respected coin grading co." Upon reflection, I might should have said they are a slabbing co. without the ability to grade consisitently and buyer should "buy the coin - not the slab". A few have inquired and stated they "have been burn't by ACG" and asked what my return policy was. Of course I stated no questions return policy with full refund (less shipping). I hope those don't depress my other auctions.

On a different note. I found my pictures turned out darker than the actual coins. I used natural lighting (sunlight) through a window, copy stand, on light blue construction paper background, no flash, using my Canon G-1 camera. I haven't had much luck with close-ups with this camera although I've been very pleased with photos beyond 4 feet. I'm a photographer from way-back (started with the Canon FTb, then old F-1, then F-1N, then EOS-1N systems), but this digital world is new to me. I know I have a steep learning curve.
