This one has very pristine surfaces. A solid 68 with a shot at 69. Ain't it pretty?

Nice photography, Russ. What'd you use to take that pic, and how'd you set it up? It looks like the light source surrounded the coin!

It's done with a Ricoh RDC-4300 mounted on a copy stand. Lighting is three GE Reveal bulbs; one 100 watt overhead, one 60 watt on each side.

Nice coin. I've got one sitting on his shelf that's toned similarly from a 64 set - though it's not quite as nice.

While the photography is fairly good -

the coin is nicer in real life.

Russ, I have to admit it does look sweet. I do notice how the color has kind of pooled in certain areas on reverse. But still looks nice.

Beauty but answer me something.

Ive been buying alot of these lately, and the Blueish
purple toning on mine are full thru coin, in laymans
terms there are pure blue/purple. The pics you show
here, kinda makes it look like it has slight toning and
not full thru toning. Is the camera masking the true color?

Just wondering as I cannot view it in person, but slabb that sucker
and talk to me if it is full thru.

By "full thru" do you mean evenly toned with the same color hue covering the entire surface? If so, this coin would not be "full thru". The toning varies in hue and intensity as you see it in the scan.

so what your saying is the breaks in color are actually breaks in color and not due to scan/photo?

only asking as ive only bought from Rick and when he says blue he means blue. Im dying to see a darker violet one.
