1974 Linc.Have you ever heard>>>>..

My good friend called me the other night asking me about this penny he found. He said it was a 1974 linc.with a left profile of kennedy on the lower right side of the obverse. Is this possible? He said it wasn't any larger than an eraser top.I have'nt seen it yet but,I made plans to look at it Tuesday.I do not think this can happen through the mint or can it.

I have seen those advertised before, the Kennedy is a stampped into the coin. No value
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • MadMarty:Thanks for the info.I'll tell my friend that

  • I've got Lincoln with...
    Kennedy
    Republican elephant
    Democrat donkey
    Liberty Bell
a Champaigne glass (looks like he's taking a drink)
a cigar (looks like he's smoking)
    Girl Scout emblem
    Boy Scout emblem.

Also have copper 1943 and steel 1944 Lincolns which sold for 35 cents each.

  • Littleton coins used to market those in comic books from the 70's. I think I had 5 or 6 of them back then. Just another oddity of the 70's.

  • I have a few with state outlines stamped on them (the 50 state cents!), and also one with a masonic emblem on it. image

Actually Bohica, you have a very interesting set there. May not be of much monetary value, but it is neat. Mark
