How to handle dissagreements with PCGS?

Received a package today and about 1/3 of the coins look like PCGS just didn't do their job. I'm not mad but I do feel I've paid my money and shouldn't have to pay again to have them do what should have been done the first time. Has anyone had luck calling them and saying "Hey, I'm not happy with this package. Can you look at it and tell me what I'm missing or make it right." I made a poor scan of one coin so you guys can see I'm not nuts. Have several others that are just as blatant.

On the 1969-S Half the grade was great but I thought the coin was cameo or deep cameo.

Don't feel too bad I have had a bunch that I thought should have been CAMs and they came back plain... Or the coins that 6 months ago would have gone for PR69DCAM are now coming back PR68DCAM

I think I'm going to hold on to everything I want graded and wait 6-8 months, maybe things will be better than...
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

That's probably what I'll end up doing. I just hope the pile doesn't get too big.

I could be verey wrong going by a scan ...but the reverse of the 69 looks like it's missing frost on the letters(States) and tail feathers.Al

It looks like PCGS just blew the designation. When this happened to me I sent an email with photos to Rick and he had me send them back to him personally. The designations were added and PCGS paid the shipping back to me.

A painless experience which he handled with class and speed.

Should have been at least a CAM, hard to tell maybe DCAM

As for Marty's remark, I don't know I just got back 9 out of 9 that were PR69 DCAMs. Then again, an errant $20 bill was mistakenly jammed into 1 of the flips image

I'm not sure about DCAM, but that certainly looks CAM to me.

No question they blew the designation on that one. Even by their current tightass standards, the coin is at least a CAM. Earlier era, it would have been a DCAM.

  • You must not have met your "deductible" this year! After you meet your "deductible", you then enter the co-insurance phase. Some are accurately graded and some are not. After submitting enough grading fees to complete your co-insurance phase, you enter the full reimbursement phase, where you receive 100% complete work for every grading fee paid.

Hey man, stock is down. Got to get those grading fees up!

Buy the coin...but be sure to pay for it.
