Mr. Davalillo seems to have had an effect in the Kellogg's World

I have been catching up on the close to 300 emails that had piled up while I was on my religious pilgrimage to the temples of Las Vegas, and low and behold, there were a couple from some dealers that prior to now, had never shown any interest in this vintage set. Without naming names of course, they all mentioned that they had a "very good customer" that was looking for 10's and could I help as I was the "crackless pusher".
Ah, little did they realize that I had not fallen off the farm truck.
An A+ is to be given to Davalillo for taking this task to heart and beating the bushes for Kellogg's and giving this set the serious consideration that it is due.
However a failing grade must be given as, despite the bravado shown and the "ease" of which he spoke in assembling the set, we still have yet to see anything on the registry.

Kellogg's Impeachment Proceedings Against Davalillo To Begin Shortly.
You have to do your own work.
The only possible way I can see Davallio coming close is possibly moving to michigan haha..
I see tons of this stuff here yet not 70's.
Zardoz do kelloggs have uncut sheets or is my memory wrong.
Matt
Not to my knowledge, I have never seen or even heard of one
Moving to Michigan! LOL Good one!
I still think Kellogg's need their own size slabs developed!!
For example if you have seen a 75 mini "floating" in dismay versus one in the correct holder it's night and day to me for value, display, and protection. I know you get a sleeve to prevent it sliding around, but to me that is not good enough. Many cards in this floating state have the dreaded tilt within the holder? To me the card is now (OC) or even diamond cut within the slab, if you will. I may be among the few but I would pay premiums to start collecting Kellogg's cards in their own size holders and/or pay a nominal fee to re-slab existing cards.
I apologize if this offends anyone collecting these cards, but an "upgrade" is needed here IMHO.
FACT: Davalillo has engaged in and is conducting a clandestine operation to overthrow Zardoz and Gemmint, the Johnny Appleseed and Pied Piper of the 3-D world, from the top two spots in the Registry, via the employment of 3-D dealer operatives in the secondary card market.
FACT: The above comments are in direct contradiction to one another, but should be taken seriously nonetheless.
who me?
On a more serious note a 1 of 1 PSA 10 has popped on EBAY!
70 Kellogg's Murcer 10
How high will it go?
To unsuspecting board members - zardoz even sent me a player from my favorite team without asking...he is sly to say the least.
After you guys keep playing texas holdem somebody better hit the bin...

More like the Jim Jones and David Koresh of the 3-D world, from what I've heard . . .
Now excuse me while I get back to my tone less chants
I must sell all my 10's to GEMMINT and Zardoz.
I must sell all my 10's to GEMMINT and Zardoz.
I must sell all my 10's to GEMMINT and Zardoz.
I must sell all my 10's to GEMMINT and Zardoz.

I must sell all my 10's to GEMMINT and Zardoz.
I must sell all my 10's to GEMMINT and Zardoz.
GEMMINT Sold a complete 9 set for $2500.00 but I doubt it would go that low today my guess would be it could go substantially higher ... probably somewhere north of $3000 . As for the 8's there is not much of a market for them my guess would be around $600.
<< <i>More like the Jim Jones and David Koresh of the 3-D world >>
Nnpopp, LOL, now cut that out.
Kurt - atta boy .
Luxury, you think an all 9 set brings in well over $3,000 now? I like that kind of thinking.
It brings back the painful memory of having to buy my OWN box of Corn Flakes (a week's allowance that could not be used for 5 cent packs) and after anticipating pulling a Mays, Clemente, or one of a handful of my beloved Cubbies out of the box, I pulled a .................Coco Laboy.
Since that time there have been brighter days, but I always remembered that.
Does the Kool-Aid man offer therapy sessions? Does the chanting help? Any suggestions?
Cubsfan, threads like this are therapy for the weary card collector's soul .
oops. Now I dream of cornflakes. The cult moves forward.

I WANT IN !!!
which one is the toughest? Horlen? I saw his name many times.
I will collect 8's and 9's only. If I ever got a ten, I may get my hand bit off by the big dogs!
Now as to this "cult business", we're more of a "social club", yeah, that's the ticket.........."Social Club"
I'll let you know what comes back, and I always appreciate contact from anyone who can help me with my PSA 9 quests for 1887/88 Allen & Ginters, 1954 Red Hearts, 1963 Fleer Baseball, 1954 Bowman FB, 1955 Bowman FB, and 1960 Topps FB.

"Stump in the skyyy with diamonds."
"Stonegate in the skyyy with diamonds."
You'll be getting them back and become captivated by them, just as we all were. Accept it and enjoy collecting the set.

1420sports - that's the spirit, LOL!
Nope, it'll never happen. No matter how many freebie 9s and 10s you send my way....
Plus with Jim scorching the earth, and then you and G'Man horking all the current 10s there
are just way too many alpha primates in the Kellogg's zoo for me to compete!
By the way, thanks for getting those CS IIs to me, the postgal who drives the mail truck is still
complaining about lugging that box to the door.
Kevin
Yeah,
2000 cardsavers will give one great cardiovascular exercise carrying from point A to B.
You'll change your mind and come on board. The lure of Kellogg's is just too great
Does that make me "official"?

Second, the sad truth is my quest to get to the top will have to be put on hold. I am at my financial limit this year. The securities/investment banking business is having an awful year and its not the sort of year to overspend my budget. It is costly trying to do over 90 vintage sets in 8 or better.
Lastly, I am in this with the sole desire of reaching number one. This set certainly needs a new leader and even more so needs a new number two which I think gemmint is well suited for as long as he realizes that all the rules in collecting Kellogg's will change. I don't think I overpromised and underdelivered over the timeframe it would take to knock off gemmint. He has an impressive rating. But it will have to be a 2003 endeavor unless my suppliers are willing to put away 10s for payment on 1/02/03.
Sorry gemmint, but I will not post this set until I reach the top or at least am within a couple cards of it.

You have just desecrated the Kellogg's leadership, a leadership which has provided fun and well being for all. A leadership which has brought this incredibly unappreciated set from the depths of the card room abyss to the pinnacle of the 3-D greatness it so rightly deserves.

That's particularly lame. At least register this "set" of yours if you even have one. You don't have to show your grades (like it's going to matter anyway).
I'm confident that betting on gemmint is close to a sure thing here. In fact Davalillo should do the
same. It would be a better return than the market right now and it would help him in completing
his other sets!
Funny.... but the truth!

You're invited to play craps with us at the National next year in Atlantic City since you obviously can tell a good thing when you see one .
I had thought that will all the resources available to you, and the bold comments with which you announced your interest in the set, coupled with your desire to bury the top guys that something a little more exciting would have transpired.
That's OK, we can wait for this onslaught (yawn)

I like the sound of that. It sounds like the World Series of Poker except we'll be a team taking the casinos money.
