PENNY ON DIME.A one of a kind coin for only $2,500,000.00 US Dollars. Seems it's taking him awhile to sell it. Any takers? Kincoin?

hmmm 2.5 million.Thats also the number of years it would have to be up for auction before it was bid on.

Who wrote the sales pitch?A fifth grader?Geez ,well the coin is cool, but not the seller.

Yeah. That's it!! See what I was talking about? ACG really missed it, see it's not a dime planchet; it's struck on a dime. About $300 difference there. The really cool ones are struck with the obv of the cent on the rev of the dime; that makes the rev leaves look like flames coming out of Abe's mouth and he's blowing fire. Still a great coin. If it was a 97 I would buy it just to get the poor thing out of the ACG holder. A coin of that caliber deserves a PCGS slab if it's gonna be slabbed.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

the obverse ,if yall didnt see it already.

Still ,the description sounds like the rantings of a 10 yr old.Not makeing very good sense in some cases.

What a nice coin to be put into such a crappy holder. Haven't I seen 11 cent dimes going for about $750 on E-bay???
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

I bet this is an invention of mint workers...
  • That's cool! There was a scan of another one posted on a thread here quite some time ago, I think, where the torch of the dime was coming out of the top of the Lincoln memorial, making it look like it was on fire. image
