  • Michael,

Thank you for your opinion of this coin. You know that I value your opinion greatly. The coin looks like a solid DCAM on the obverse and a DCAM+ on the reverse. I too feel that this level of cameo contrast will be tough to duplicate for this date.

    stman,

I have not yet seen the coin in person. The scans of my other Barber proofs that have original golden hues look alot like the scan of this coin. Slight toning can make the mirrors look a lot more shallow than they really are in a scan. The scan looks like the coin will have golden, green and violet hues. I will have the coin in hand in about 2 weeks or so. I kind of doubt that I will be returning it, it really does look nice to me.

  • First Michael's 3CN DCAM and now a 67DCAM Barber!!

Truly amazing coin. I particularly like the reverse. The contrast is nice and even, and solid.

oldcameoproofsguy, I was just thinking. It must be tough to wait for the coin that long? If your like me you probably have to eat a lot of top ramon, taco bell etc. to help pay for a nice piece like that.image

That's really cool! The Cameo is amazing. Cams are a dime a dozen but DCams are another matter. One thing about the toning, it looks like a coin does when it retones that golden brown color several years after a dip. Might just be the scan though, it does look like it has a purple color to it. A great coin!! image
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

I think Michael liked it. It is a remarkably nice coin. I doubt you will be looking for stamps to return it.image
