Proofreading is a good thing.

Just take a look at this auction...

"NCG" is not written once, not twice, but three times. And in the description he says they're all graded by PCGS, four times. A little confused??!?!

edited to add auction because i didn't proofread my own post. DOH!!!! image

I agree. Proofreading is a good thing.
  • I didn't have a link in my first post to further demonstrate how important proofreading is.

I agree, proof-reading should be done. You are selling something, and you want to buyer to feel comfortable. I actually did NOT bid on an auction on the "other" place as one person also listed it as a NGC slab, but it really was a PGCS slab. Also, many misspelled words, and other little things that could have been corrected with a second glance. I just wasn't comfortable with the auction, and that feeling also had me feeling uncomfortable about receiving the coin. So I passed.

One 1885-O Morgan Dollar....PCGS graded Brilliant Uncirculated

It does say Brilliant Uncirculated on the slab.
I didn't know NGC would but that for a grade.

  • By typing NGC as NCG (especially in the title), they are probably setting themselves up for a loss. I was just doing what I think braddick had talked about earlier.....searching for misspelled names like PGCS, or NCG or IGC to look for decent auctions.
