Online free listing of varieties/rarities/etc?

This may have been in a post I missed or from before I ever hopped online here, but I thought it would be good to ask again.

Is there an online source or encyclopedia we can use as a free reference to find out such things as:

1. The rare date varieties on each series
2. Explanation of the varieties such as RPMs, Double dies, etc.
3. Pictures
4. Which years for each series are strongly struck, weakly struck, etc.

  • No place I've ever seen.
This information is in books specific to the series, generally, and is copyrighted by those that have put forth the effort and expense to bring the knowledge to the collectors.
It's doubtful if the authors would allow their work to be given free to the public.
You need to start buying books if you want this type of information.
The rewards both financial and pleasurable far outweigh the initial cost of the books.

CONECA is a good site but I don't know if that's what you are looking for. CONECA is more a basic reference and VAMLINK is good for Morgans & Peace.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
