NEW MEMBER HERE

Hello, I am new to this forum, but not new to the wonderful hobby of coin collecting. I started collecting coins when I was a kid in the 70's from pocket change. I never found anything of significant value, mostly heavily circulated wheats and an occasional silver dime or quarter. I still have these coins and they are more valuable to me than any high grade key date coins.
I decided to join this forum because the members are so knowledgeable about coins. I am not a coin expert just someone who enjoys this hobby. My favorite coins are Washington quarters and buffalo nickels, the most recent coin that I have acquired is a PCGS MS-65 1935D Washington.
I look forward to sharing any knowledge that I have with the forum.
Thanks, John

    Welcome to the boards, John!
  • Welcome aboard John; I've only been posting here for a few weeks but I've learned a LOT about coins and collecting than I would have by reading books on the subject. I was recently convinced thru the posts of these veteran collectors, that I should try my hand at grading my own coins. I followed that suggestion and now I'm off and running.
I love this board....hope you do too. Wally
