Can NCS help this Franklin & Wash Qtr. out???

For those of you who have used them, I would appreciate hearing your opinion. I joined up a few weeks ago, and have been waiting until I had a few coins to send in. I know they are great, from reading Russ's reviews, at removing field haze etc. This coin needs that, but it also has a "toning" spot to the right and below of Y in Liberty. I cut down the contrast so it would show up better. This coin has monster frost and I hope that they can help.

I'm sure they could, but all that coin really needs is a dip in Jeweluster/E-Z-Est.

I think Greg is right. It doesn't look like it needs their level of conservation. Unless, of course, you're not comfortable taking care of it yourself.

Thanks for your opinions and advice. I haven't had very good luck in the past with dipping this type of stuff off of proofs in the past, so I think I will give NCS a shot. This Franklin and a 57 Washington Quarter I got today are just so cameo that i would hate to ruin them. Call me chicken

will the cost of getting the coins cleaned outweigh the rewards? just curious - don't know a danged thing about franklins.

I guess that would depend on how one defines "rewards". It's not always about money.

russ, you are correct, and i did not intend "rewards" to refer to just $. that's why i posed the question. i don't own a single franklin, is it difficult to find examples that don't need to be cleaned?

It's not necessarily difficult to find pieces that don't need cleaning (except the very early ones) but it IS difficult to find nicely cameo'd franklins.
