How to pay with credit card thru PayPal????????

Default is PayPal balance and when you click on "more funding options" all it offers is an echeck from bank account. Credit card is on file for confirmed address. So how do you send money with a credit card?

Is your credit card on file with them. You need to set it up in your profile...

Hey Dog, quit bustin' by balls about the pissing minuteman quater, I just had to have one... You know how us collectors are!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

You need to clean out your balance before your card will take over... when I let my mom use my account it really ticks me off because it first clears the small balance that I like to maintain for small purchases before going to her card image

When I select more funding options my credit card is usually there.
Maybe they changed it but I used it in the last 14 days.
I would think if they changed it they would say something image

    Dog,

When I go in to more funding options the credit card is listed.

<< <i>You need to clean out your balance before your card will take over >>

That makes sense, since I keep a balance of $0 in my Paypal account.

<< You need to clean out your balance before your card will take over >> I guess that's it. Bummer I wanted to buy something expensive & hold onto my $$ for a billing cycle rather than losing it instantly.
    Thanks guys. image

When I did have a paypal balance and I only had a credit card on file with them it would take the small balance then put the remainder on my credit card for a purchase.

Example, my paypal account had $10 I would use paypal to pay for a eBay auction for $100.
My credit card would get charged $90 and my paypal account balance would go to $0.00
  • It should show up under 'more funding options'. Maybe you entered your card as a way to open the account years ago and didn't use it as a funding option.
You can add a credit card anytime. After you're logged into your account click on 'profile' then click on 'credit cards' under financial info. The next page you have to hit the arrow key to page way right and at bottom right is an 'add' button. After hitting 'add' just enter your info. You can re-enter the old card or submit new ones.
  • It used to be (AND I AM QUITE SURE) that you can simply choose funding options. NOW you have to clear out your paypal balance before it goes to credit card.

  • It might be that you have to clear out your paypal balance before using a credit card. I quit having a balance a long time ago and I just have the money withdrawn from a second bank account I created with almost nothing in it or use plastic.
