Is there a service like ..or does PCGS also authenticate/slab paper $ too.

I think they stopped makeing those bills as it was too easy to transport a million bucks around,as in a breifcase like in the movies.
Whats our highest paper denom.$1,000 bill?$500?...Just curious.I,ve nothing more than a few silver certificates and old $2 bills.I guess you,d have to about inherit a bunch of old notes to really get into
    type money collecting.
At least bills blow stamps away huh.

There are two of them, CGA (owned by Collectors Universe) and one other. I hear both of them blow, but I can't lean either way.

I think $10,000 was the highest one printed (and was only used to go between the reserve banks, it was never circulated). I think the $1000 bill was the highest circulating note.

I'm actually a big fan of error currency...I find misprinted bills much more interesting than misstruck coins. Maybe because the errors are often times much more dramatic.

I'm not a paper money collector, but if I recall correctly the highest denomination ever printed was $100,000. The highest denomination currently printed for circulation is the $100.

Karl, this was my first thought. Who the hell picks up a 10 thousand dollar bill, folds it up and thinks, "well I'll just stick it in here!"?

I thought I did notice too the folds in the bill but the idea just hit the back of my brain and didnt bounce back very far...Duh!!Heck.I,m not a paper money collector so..there my story, and I,m st st stickin to it.

Who the hell picks up a 10 thousand dollar bill, folds it up and thinks, "well I'll just stick it in here!"?
    lol.
Can it be downgraded from `ironed`? lol Is that the equivalent to dipped with coins? lol

BTW the way the folds are,it may have been folded in such a way as to show the 100,000 print and little else.Perhaps to conseal the bill in the palm of ones hand.

    SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!! lol

Also,How about the serial number. G00000964A

    the 964th one printed?

to add.I remember the movie `Jinxed`? in which a $100,000 bill was `checked` at a Vegas casino pit boss in one scene.

I know its the movies but, there were really one-hundred-grand notes printed at one time.

There was a $100,000 note printed, but it was only used for bank transfers......I was lucky enough to see one in a display at the BEP on a trip to DC a couple years back. I think I remember reading that it is illegal to own one of these........I may be mistaken though.
