The toning must be pretty dark if you have to brighten it that much. Can you post of pic of it just a little darker. And what year/MM is it?

Here is what the original scan looked like...I lightened the first one, because the scan came out much darker than the actual coin, and did not show the vibrance of the colors...they are pink, purple, blue, red, and orange/gold. I picked up a collection of these raw from someone and was wondering what people thought of them, at etc. If anyone would think PCGS would holder them or if they think they would be bb. And if I should just send them to NGC.

Nice coin. I have used always used my scanner for coins. I think I will have to learn how to use my Digital camera instead. Scanners are great for detail, but they never show the luster of the coin. When I bought a MS66FBL Franklin for my type set, I was greatly surprised at how much nice the coin looked in hand. Scans simply don't capture the luster. Unless I am doing something tremendously wrong, which could be the case. Mark

mm...it looks to be a spot that for some reason did not tone...perhaps a fleck of something prevented it.
