Unbelievable price for an ACG slab

Here it is, the end result of the thread I posted about a week ago about this ebay auction. It looks nice, but that's a premium price for an ACG slab IMO.
I would be interested to find out what it crossed to at PCGS or NGC.

Looks like the buyer bought the COIN and could care less about the holder.
Interesting practice on the cliche to do so.

Never get away with that on this board. It seems that buying the coin, if it is in an AGC holder is bad. Never figured it out, but that is what I always read.

Is it possible it is slightly cleaned/whizzed and the dark scan covers it up?

  • looks like a nice coin to me
  • looks like a nice coin for the price to me. In spite of the grading company. Maybe they get it right in a few cases ?

  • If the scan is the true coin the winner recieves I think he got a good buy. Red Books shows it at $375.00 in MS65 and $75.00 in MS63. For 60 bux or so I would be willing to take a chance. Am I missing something? I have only made maybe three coin purchases from ebay and have never owned an AGC slab so maybe I,m sticking my neck out on this one. image ...Pat
