Please Help Grade This Merc

I had the opportunity to pick up a collection over the weekend and came across about 20 Mercs in what I perceive flawless or nearly flawless condition. Very bright luster, no signs of wear and very full detail on the reverse. These range in date from 1936 to 1945.

The detail on the reverse is what leads me to believe these may grade quite high, as all of the sticks are unblemished with zero flat spots.

I would appreciate opinions on how this coin might grade.

I would agree with your assessment that the coin is uncirculated. I can't tell anything about the luster due to the scan, but it looks like the coin is at least an MS65. I can't see the bands well enough on the reverse scan to see if the coin would make the Full Band designation. All in all a nice coin, but not particularly rare. It probably isn't worth slabbing, if that thought had crossed you mind. Mercs are always pretty coins in BU+ though so if you got 20 in this condition, not too shabby. Congrats!!

I am just getting the hang of the scanning of coins, but from first hand inspection, the bands are absolutely full with no flat spots, which leads me to believe teh coin will grade quite high. Granted it is not a rarity, but would it not fetch a decent price in a high grade condition?

I would say if the coin would grade out MS66 or higher with a FSB designation then it would be worth your while having it graded. As a MS65 FSB it only like a $55 dollar coin so it would be your call. I can only see one obvious mark on the obverse, so it may indeed have a shot at a 66 or higher.
