1926 $2 1/2 gold sesquicentennial got on trade today

I got this in a trade today at a small coin show. It's graded MS63 by ANACS. Any chance of an up-grade or is 63 the limit on this coin? Thanks mike

      • Pretty coin Mike - I've seen other gold coins more beat up than that at 63 but I'm not savvy enough to know if it'll go to 4 - very nice surfaces nonetheless - good catch! - what did you trade for it?

I traded some problem coins. I might have gotten a little more on ebay but this coin appeared to be a nice 63 and maybe a 64? I took a chance as I am really not very experienced with these coins but in my experience with nice looking ANACS gold coins is they tend to up-grade when cracked and submitted to PCGS or NGC. mike
      • looks like it might go 64 but i would wait for a gold phanatic.

KlectorKid- I really don't know how to increase the size of the picture? I tried to figure it out before but I got frustrated and gave up on it. These coins are about the size of a dime. mike

KlectorKid- I got a security alert when I clicked on the first picture. Thanks for making the pictures bigger but I think they have lost alot of thier definition. Tell me how you make them bigger? I can enlarge them on my computer but I don't know how to upload them to the internet the size I want. Thanks mike

Are the what look like carbon spots on the reverse in the left field as viewed really there?
        • u had to save it as a jpg or gif to upload it so if u turn it into a BMP and make it bigger than save and convert it to a jpg it might work

        • It's certainly a no brainer 63. My guess is than if you sent it in 5 times at least one of the five times you'd get a MS64 grade on it. I think that an upgrade while not a gimmie, is at least possible on this coin. I agree that I have seen a lot worse called a 63 so you never know. Godd Luck!!!image
