Are there any good/great coin shops in VT or NH?

I just moved to Vermont. I haven't been able to locate a solid shop in the Burlington area. Solid in my book includes at least a few of the following attributes:

1. Friendly and honest dealer.
2. Raw inventory of popular series.
3. A decent selection of supplies and publications.
4. At least some slabbed inventory.

Any help in getting me pointed in the direction of some "solid" shops in either Vermont, New Hampshire or Eastern Upstate New York would be appreciated.
Go well.

Search NGC and PCGS for VT dealers- they should have certified stuff and be reputable in order to become authorized dealers.

Tonlover is with Rare Coins of New Hampshire. They are in Milford N.H. Not sure how far from Burlington, but they are about an hour from where I live in Mass. Hope this helps

Yes, I would love to visit Rare Coins of NH some day. Another possibility is Tim Puro in Rutland, VT.

  • I appreciate everyone's suggestions. I think I can get to Milford in about three hours which would work if I'm down that way. However, Rutland is only about an hour and fifteen minutes away. Does Tim Puro have a shop in Rutland? If anyone know's Tim's shop name, address or phone number....I'd appreciate a PM so that I can contact him. Also, if anyone if anyone knows of a shop in Albany, NY that they could recommend...that would be another possibility.

Thanks very much for the help. You guys are great!
    Go well.

  • I'd recommend a monthly trip to the Chelmsford coin show.
