I think it depends- if you are completing a transaction or PM someone about a post, you may be returning many PMs all week long; it it's a quiet week where you don't buy much and don't post much, either, your PMs will show...

To sum up one sentence- it really depends on how much and what you post each week.

I've got 180 messages in storage during the past 9 months. Half are my own my responses, so that means we're talking about 10 received per month, or a little more than an average of 2 per week.

I agree with the above.....on average 1-9 fits nicely.

Average, about 7. Lots of them are duplicates - something about the PM system and if you hit the wrong key, two get sent!image

My experience is similar to Dog97, but, I have a question back at you all: I frequently delete my PMs; after all pertinent actions are completed. Am I the only one? You do realize that server space is being used to store 2500 pms? Hey, to each his own; I just happen to have some background in system maintenance, and USUALLY you don't allow excessive storage when you have 500 + users.

Yes Gilbert, they are deleted with the exception of the most recent from each entity.......

I chuckled at Gilbert's post. That's very true - if you ever maintained systems, you tend to be diligent about deleting stuff. image

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
