Jose Hernandez, what a wuss. Sitting to avoid K record, again!

I went to the game tonight hoping that Jose would play, even though I knew it was 99% that he would sit. What a wuss. 1 K away from the K record and he sits out the last 4 games at home for the season. He was hurt that some fans booed when he grounded out in the 8th inning a few days ago cause they wanted to see the record strikeout. He comes out after the game and said he was hurt by that, but that the K's really dont matter to him. Well guess what, the next day he is all of a sudden is out of the lineup. Then he is out for the next 2 games after that and will also sit out tommorow. Then he will break it on the road. Man what a wuss. I have lost any respect for him I used to have, and im sure many other fans, players, and coaches have. To cower in the dugout in order not to break a record (or to break a record for that matter) is cheap, really cheap. So go ahead Jose, just cower in that dugout. If thats the kind of guy you are then you deserve to spend your last 4 games at Miller Park hiding in the dugout.
Oh BTW: He did this last year also. There were like 4-5 games left, 5 K's away, and he decides to sit out. So he did this two years in a row. Jees, that is really cheap. I mean seriously, does he really think he is going to get a bigger contract at the end of the year if he ends up with 188K's (1 short of the record) than say 195 K's? Come on. Heck he will probably lose alot of money cause no team is gonna want to sign a guy who is a wuss like Jose is.

<< <i>Update on this situation. He has now announced that he will sit the last SEVEN games of the year, to make it a grand total of 11 games straight he will sit out in order to avoid breaking the record. This is truly pathetic. This guy should be fined and released. To sit down one game, let alone ELEVEN games to avoid a record is pathetic. Does he really think this is going to help him out in the FA market? hes negotiating with a team and then he says "Well just syk, if we are in the playoff race but I am close to the K record I am going to have to sit because I have a very fragile ego." Every GM in the league is going to see this and think "why would we ever want a selfish, non-team player here?" This move by Hernandez is a disgrace to the integrity of the game. I hope next year, wherever he is, he is booed without mercy every time he steps up to the plate or every time he fields a baseball. >>
ESPN reported this morning he was benched until the Brewers road trip, BECAUSE HIS MANAGER DID NOT APPRECIATE THE BOOING... not anything to do with Jose's ego
