Personally, no harm intended, based on that image I think it's atrocious. I know the '81-S has a huge surviving mintage, but, it galls me when they are intentionally ruined.
The color range is too perfect. The exact same chemical reaction had to be happening from every direction with the same intensity. That's why I think it is intentional.
I am someone that appreciates original toning. On these dmpl morgans I guess I still like to see them bright. This coin the colors don't look right to me. They don't flow right IMO. Just my 2 cents.

Interesting - I guess my picture taking leaves something to be desired. I spent the morning looking through a box full of Morgans. On some of them the toning looked broken and "pasty", almost as if someone had had intentionally taken a brush and applied something to the coins. These coins did not have an irredescence that I've seen in genuine slabbed coins with toning. Not that I doubt anyone's opinion on here, as a matter of fact I welcome it - but I guess we'll have to wait till the experts decide on it's authenticity.

Nice looking toning.
