who can't wait until bball starts up again? I know I can't!

man I want pre-season to hurry up and start. So many players have alot to prove and alot of diffrent teams like the kings have alot to prove. This will be one heck of a season if you ask me.I'm pulling for vince carter to explode and of course kobe to have his moments. I just believe this coming up year will be good for us bball fans. What do you all think?

<< <i>hey thito I was watching monday night football the other night and it stunk. I think it was your redskins playing? The only cool part of that game was when it was delayed, because of some kind fight broke out or something? Anyways..........this board is all about basketball and you know it
everything you said was correct, unfortunately...
I'm a fan of the Nets, I think they've got a real shot of going into the playoffs as the #1 seed again. Lineup....
1-Kidd
2-Kittles
3-RJ
4-Kmart
5-Mutombo
Thats enough to take the east, I think. I hope someone can dethrone the Lakers in the West, since the East can't do it.
The 4th one is for chick and to put phil over the top!
i'm not even worried about Jordan... if he comes back, he's not going to start... any playing time the Wiz get from him is like a bonus... i think the Wiz without MJ is a playoff team and the Wiz with MJ they can only be better...
i hope Dixon gets a fair chance this season cuz that's the ROY right there... that statement might be a little bias but i admire his heart... he's a winner and that's what Washington needs...
Hughes
Stackhouse
Russell
Brown
Haywood
is a nice line-up... then take Dixon, Thomas, Jeffries, and MJ off the bench and it looks even nicer... then throw in the coaches, especially Ewing and i think they have a winning formula... it might work, it might not, but i'm FINALLY happy about basketball in D.C.
Dixon, alone, makes this season fun for me...
i liked Rip too, but the fact is, he's soft... always has been and always will be... he's a damn good player and it sucked to see him go, but when you get a player like Stackhouse in return, i'd make that trade anyday of the week...
look at Marbury/Kidd trade and the effect it had... i think the Wiz needed to kind of have a brand new team this season and get some different leaders... the Hamilton experiment was not a success, nor a failure, but somewhere in between...
i'm happy with what they've done...
Why would MJ come off the bench, the man scored 22+ ppg last season with him carrying the whole team. I think this lineup will be much better....
1-Dixon/Hughes, split time in the beginning of season to see who can run the floor better and who's the better leader.
2-Stackhouse
3-MJ, Stack will greatly lessen MJ's workload, hopefully he'll still drop 18-22 ppg. Less double teaming with Stack running the 2.
4-Brown
5-Haywood/Ewing, if Haywood stinks it up get ole' Patrick in there for a good 20 minutes per game, he won't tire from 20 minutes so he'll be fresh.
<< <i>Why would MJ come off the bench, >>
because he's 39-effin-years old... lol the man is ancient and so are his knees... he can't start and play at the same caliber he used to... that was proven last year... coming off the bench could provide a spark and it would save MJ for down the stretch... he's not as effective the more minutes he plays... he's just too old...
and i would LOVE to see Dixon play over Hughes, but i don't think that will happen... it'd make my year to see that, believe me... i think Hughes is solid, not spectacular, but solid... but i'd rather see Dixon play over Jason Kidd - but once again, i'm bias...
and one last thing about MJ... most likely, he will be a reserve for the guard spot... it takes less defense and Collins has already said this to be true... MJ will be a back-up...
