Help with Breen numbers

Hi,

I just got in two PCGS that have Breen numbers not shown on the holders of course but indicated as such by the dealer who sent me the coins. I was hoping someone could give me some info about what these varieties are and what their relative rarity is.

Coin one: 1865 Two Cents (MS64BN) Breen-2386 (FS002.5). It looks to me like the 1 and the 8 have been recut....

Coin two: 1865 Three Cent Nickel (PR63) Breen-2412. I can't find anything out of the ordinary about this coin at first glance...

Any help with info about these would be greatly appreciated. By the way; both of these coins are for sale...please PM me if interested.

    Breen verbatum;

    2386 = 1865/4 Fancy 5. Very Rare. Note corner of the 4 between 65. Not to be confused with previous vars. "Durham," 1980 ANA: 1181, "UNC" $1,250

    2412 =1865 [all kinds 11,382,000 + 400 + P] Double date west. Proofs, Breen 2-B ( over 90% of proofs of this date are from these dies). Parts of extra digits at upper 1. A similar configuration on business strikes, presently rarer than the proofs, was discovered by Bill Fivaz; obv. badly cracked from bust through 18 to the rim below 6. CW 12/8/82, p. 70. Proof mintage is that of silver sets issued after this denomination was authorized.

    be very careful quoting breen's "rarity" descriptions. he tends to be way, way off, esp. w/ "very rare", etc. there was one colonial that he called "extremely rare", where i owned 3 at one time and was offered a 4th.
