First look at my growing Peace $ Reg set.

Hi everyone. I had a Peace $ Reg set that had a fair number of dates and mintmarks, but had many AU58-MS63 coins, and I decided I wanted to go for a bit better quality, so I have started picking up some coins in the top level I can afford for now. I am going for as many brilliant white coins as I can find, but they aren't all.

I am planning on completing the set with similar grades as I have so far (except the 34-S may be a bit lower). My goal is to get an average around 64, which at 100% would put me around #11. Once complete, I will try to upgrade, but it will likely be slow then. I also plan to post scans of all coins later (as I have in my Ike $ MS set). BTW, I also have a 25-S in 64, but it says its already in someone else's Reg set, so I guess I have to email them.

Andy, the quick answer is "maybe!". I have a bad scanner, and I would kind of like to get a good one before I start on the whole group, but I want to take time to get the right scanner. I also have a digital camera, but I don't usually like pictures from that very much (It's not a real high quality one either).

I will probably add coins in groups like I did this time, instead of 1 at a time, and maybe when I add another group or 2, I will add pics.

Very nice start! PQPeace has a very nice eye and has helped me with my set along the way! His eye has cost me alot of money! but worth every penny!

Nice Peace dollars are tough to come by so when you "find" one you had better scoop it up!

Out of curiousity, do you have your Peace $ set listed and which one? You can PM me if you would prefer.

I do want to build a nice set, and obviously the faster you do it, the more fun, but I am working from a "Condo" budget, so I do have to slow myself down sometimes.

Larry did help me pick out a nice 22-S at the Anaheim show a month ago. I think maybe I need to get a table there and sell off some extras of my own! Or, maybe I better get ebaying some more.
