I don't know much about DCAMS or CAMS but to arrive at a price you need to get your hands on both major pop reports. The data accumulated so far is minimal but it's all that's available. If the date doesn't stand out as radically diff. than other dates in the series you only have to figure out how the coin is priced at type. I'd look at what other dealers are offering on the web (coinace, legendcoin, heritage, plus auction results) and then do a simple ratio to what a common non cameo coin sheets for. Use that same ratio to determine what a "common" cameo or dcam brings. If your date is very low pop to the others you might consider it twice the price of the other cameos. If the average dates have pops of say 10 and your coin is a pop 1 or 2, it's worth a healthy premium if the series is collected by date. Maybe 20-50% for a classic, and 100% or more for a modern. You can compare different series too as well as denoms to get a feel for what is rare and what isn't. The more comparing and research you do the quicker you'll get a feel for the value. Once you dive in, you'll be surprised at how easy you'll come up with some reasonable pricing assumptions. One should do this even for coins already on the greysheet to ensure your coin measures up. Many overrated dates also have overrated prices. I'm not up on what the modern cameos bring but the pricing data is probably more available for those. But the same basic logic applies.

Placid, based on a quick glance at year old NGC pop data I'd say you can nearly name your own price on the dcam. The cameos are very much date dependant. I'd estimate 2-3x regular price for a DCAM if they prove to be 10x rarer than the cameos. Maybe a 10-20% premium for the cameos. Again, the degree of cameo plays a factor and no two are the same. A near dcam has gotta be worth close to double. I like to use the type coin thumbrule of a price doubling for something that's 3x as rare. If DCAMs prove to be 30x as rare as regular proofs, that could be a 5-10x premium down the road. What would you rather have? A proof 68 common date or a Proof 66 or 67 dcam? That may help you to bracket the pricing too.
