I have a friend that is the owner of a local funeral home. For years he served the Local Coin Club in several capacities.
Once we had an important meeting that dragged on for about 6 hours, that he attended. The day after the meeting I met a niece of mine that worked at a nursing home. She told me the people that worked there were pretty upset with this guy. It seems some old woman had died and he was supposed to remove the body earlier in the evening. He went to the coin club meeting instead, and took care of the business of removal afterwards.
I told him about what was said to me the next time I saw him.
He said, "Ray, I don't know what they were upset about. She was still dead when I got there".

on the operating table while he left to deposit a check in his bank. In both instances the professional
abrogated their responsibilities to the community and patient. Whether someone is dead or alive,
they are worthy of respect, decentcy and a professional and responsible attitude.
You were quite right in being
upset with the person in question. Bear

I hope the surgeon and the undertaker weren't in some kind of mutually beneficial business arrangement.
I saw the same story Bear, I believe (rightfully so) the surgeon is in serious trouble.

Yep, it's for real.
Dog97. That story has been all over the news here, too about the crematory.
