I’ve never tried it myself, but I believe that a nonpolar solvent like hexane or petroleum ether will remove adhesive. I doubt that either solvent would hurt the coin (again, I’ve never tried it...).
Furthermore, I don't know where someone gets off calling that thing UNC if someone had STUCK TAPE TO IT. Probably has been handled quite a bit too, probably by the same guy that was dumb enough to tape it.

one would assume the tape's been there a while and has already corroded the coin. i'd stay under au $.
