  • i wouldn't think so-- but i've never tried to remove adhesive, either. worst comes to worst, send it to NCS and then to NGC, it might be a deal!!!!

  • NCS might be able to do something to it.

  • I’ve never tried it myself, but I believe that a nonpolar solvent like hexane or petroleum ether will remove adhesive. I doubt that either solvent would hurt the coin (again, I’ve never tried it...).

Agree with littlewicher. You might give NCS a call and explain the situation, see what they sayimage?

Acetone will probably clean it up BUT it looks like someone has tried to harshly clean it already.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

I agree with Dog, it looks harshly cleaned.

Furthermore, I don't know where someone gets off calling that thing UNC if someone had STUCK TAPE TO IT. Probably has been handled quite a bit too, probably by the same guy that was dumb enough to tape it.

that coin might be a proof. be careful.

one would assume the tape's been there a while and has already corroded the coin. i'd stay under au $.
