Individual "GREAT" coin.....new try!

Who on the forum will go out of there way to acquire a "great" coin...one they really like at first glance because of grade/ date/ series... whether they collect this "issue" or not? I tend to do this... am I alone? Stories? K

  • Not long ago I ran into an 1884-O MS65DCAM dollar that just looked beautiful - even though I don't collect this series I just had to pick up this beauty - so no - you're not alone image

I have a very short attention span. If I see something I really like I will change course in the blink of an eye.

I'll always go out for a cool coin! I started building a Morgan series, then migrated towards a 20th century type series, now thinking about building the best 1973 series and getting some of my favorite not-the-highest-grade-possibles slabbed because I like them and want to preserve them.

Maybe that's why when I come home from the coin show I always have coins which weren't on my want list. It may also explain the haphazard collection I have.
