I don't care if it's A.J. Foyt driving that car.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Indy racing but it just seems wrong having a car on a state quarter. Surely Indiana has something more going for it than the 500? (The car is cool though)

Peaches don't even grow in this part of the state.

hmmm, I wonder if ours here in Oregon will end up being a depiction of clear-cuts...

ironically, i've never been to Wright Patterson AFB where the aviation museum is located.
with the state quarter program moving westward now i think there will be more designs reminiscent of classic coinage. at least i hope there will be.

And, Keets, as a current Buckeye, the trip to U.S. Air Force Museum at Wright Pat AFB is well worth the trip! Give yourself most of a day so you don't have to rush and can soak it in. As a WW II aviation buff -- and who once flew in an Indiana Air National Guard Vietnam-era F-101 jet fighter (now that is flying!) -- it is a wonderful experience! Combine it with a long weekend to the Cincy area (where I lived for nine years), where I can recommend more great diversions ... Ohio had a finalist featuring inventors (the National Inventors Hall of Fame is in Akron), but it did not fly. It featured an Edison light bulb and he indeed was born in Milan, Ohio, but all of his wizardy came at Menlo Park, MI...
