Whitman Classic Question

I have a question.
I am putting together a Circ Set of Lincolns from 1941 to Current. I bought several MS-62-64 cents. However, most of the ones in the folders are g-vg.
Should I put this 62-63-64's in as well?

Thanks

No you will ruin them image
Do whatever you want. If adding the ms coins makes the low grade ones look awful then take them out if you don't like it.
  • I'd keep the uncirculated ones separate. I would think it would break up the look of the set. If there is a certain point where all the coins go from circulated to unc., I think having a set in two sections like this is o.k., but if they bounce back and forth, I would find it distracting.

Only you know how you want your set to look, but I have heard many experienced collectors say that the best way to put together a set is to select a grade and maybe go a grade above, a grade below, as needed, but you don't want a bigger spread than that for aesthetic reasons.

Just an opinion. And best of luck!

  • Thanks for the suggestions. I would be diffcult to look between VG to 63 or 64's.
