Two coin dealers I consider "top notch"!

I am an active collector of Washington quarters, and I want to make mention of a couple of dealers who I consider to be "World Class" in their professions. I think any of you who would or have had dealings with either of these gentlemen, you would find it to be a very pleasant experience all the way around, from beginning to end; I highly recommend both of them. Their names are Bob Zurick of Zaps Coins and Todd Imhof of Pinnacle Rarities, Inc. Both of these gentlemen always take time to talk to you to make sure you know that your business is appreciated, and they really go the "extra mile" in helping you. You're never left feeling like your business doesn't matter, which to me is an important factor, especially these days. I've never had one problem with either of them, and the coins that I receive from them are always as nice as I expected them to be and as nice as they were described to me, when I get them, and I consider myself a very fussy collector. They are always very willing to work with you regarding payment plans and trade-ins (if possible). Both of these gentlemen are really pleasant to talk with and really know their business. I always receive my coins from them promptly after closing the deal, too. These gentlemen consistently do their best to give you their best possible prices on top-quality coins, not something everyone else does these days. It's for those reasons and for other positive factors that I probably forgot, that I keep coming back to them for more business dealings. It is gentlemen like these who consider the importance of thier customers, and they try to build their businesses on long lasting relationships.

If you're looking to purchase really nice coins and want to feel good about the whole experience of coin buying, these are two guys you should definitely talk to, you won't be sorry. And no, no one is paying me to give these guys a "plug", as I was glad to do it of my own free will! image

I keep hearing wonderful things about Pinnacle Rarities. I'm looking forward to stopping off at their table at Long Beach.

I have bought numerous coins from and sold numerous coins to both dealers, and share Tom's comments. Both top rate.

Couldn't agree more. Zaps is great... Bob is as knowledgable as anyone about Washington Quarters.

Have not had the pleasure with Mark, but look forward to a transaction! Had dealings with Zaps and nothing but a pleasure! And, Rick Tomaska has never let me down, as well.

He's far from the biggest dealer out there, but mark me down as a devotee of Jeff Werlin ( jwcameo on eBay ). He comes up with amazing CAM and DCAM earlier proofs and is refreshing with his honesty on even slabbed coins! Here's a guy posting raw proofs with some cameo contrast and he outright answers you that, no, he does not think a coin will CAM at PCGS, but will at NCG, etc. Bullet-fast shipping, good photography and he has placed some astonishing coins I know of, but cannot mention. Sorry to get carried away, but it says something.

BobZaps can never get me enough great rolls. I keep asking hime for more. Everyone always seem to
fight me to the death on his BU 25c rolls.

His shipping methods are quite unconventional but somehow arrives safe and sound.

He sure knows the different varieties on the quarters.

    The best of the best.

Dpoole: Now that you know about BobZaps, I can admit as to his greatness. You'd think I tell you? Heck I had enough trouble finding enough rolls from him already!! Now I know why!!

I have been buying coins actively for the past seven years and currently have 8 sets in the 'top 5'. Pinnacle has located most of the coins I required, and a lot were POP 1 or POP 2. They stand out to me as being the most trustworthy and knowedgeable.
It has always been a pleasure doing business with them and I look forward to them helping me finish a couple more sets.

Bob is the most honest guy you could ever meet. He'll give you the straight up. His enthusiam for the hobby is evident, and he is the most knowledgeable guy on Washington's there is.
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.
  • I'll put in a good word for Bob as well - they've sold me several key pieces for my collection and they've given me excellent service.

  • Does this Zaps fellow have a web site?
  • I agree. I met Bob over the internet two plus years ago. I had purchased some Franklins from him on eBay. I ended talking to him over the phone and before I knew it, he had me thinking about Washington Quarters to the point of becoming a little obsessed with the series. I found him to be a real gentleman and extremely knowledgeable. I've now finished the set and in the process had some good council from Bob. I also purchased several Washingtons from Pinnacle. These guys are great and helpful. I'd recommend them both.

    Welcome to the boards, Zerbe.
  • I have dealt with Pinnacle for over 4 years and with Coinguy1, Mark Feld, for over 3 of those. Because Mark hand held me and coached me through the buying process so often, I learned that by being very specific about by preferences, ie coin characteristics, I have had phenominal success with Mark/Pinnacle. Another big plus is they are often the low price leader. Mark has tons of top notch advice if you take the time to ask. I deal with a lot of other dealers too, but Mark is my go to guy.
    Number one walker collection.
