Yesterday's Prices

Here are a couple of price guides from days gone by that I picked up years ago. I don't know anything about the companies that issued them, but would welcome any information you may have. I do like the prices for the coins listed.

Wow, what are the copyright dates on those catalogs? I wish it was possible to get that pricing when I'm buying today.
  • I'm not really sure of the issue dates as none are listed. I did see a "1895, 6pcs., brilliant, including the rare dollar - $9.00" as one of the listings.

I would like to buy his entire inventory, sight unseen, with cleaned 1881-S Morgan dollars.image

It's always cool to see the prices then. I wonder what the inflation adjusted cost is? I wish I could go back in time and pick up some of these!

the date of that publication is sometime between 1904 and 1921 since the silver dollar section says

"1904 - last year of issue"

    very cool piece of history.

Makes me ponder the future of modern clad coins in 98 years... Although they'll see some ridiculous spikes like $4000 for a state quarter or something.

I think we should be wary of these coin lists. After all, all these coins are raw. image
