I should post mine. It's a Morgan about 50% larger than a typical Morgan dollar without a loss of detail (no "stretch" marks!).
I heard it's done, very carefully, and artfully, placing the coin between two thick pieces of leather and striking it, multiple times, with a wooden mallet.
(This method is also used, albeit with much softer strokes(!) to flatten out a bent coin.)
cooooool, braddick, very cool. i have a seated half that's expanded larger than dollar, like you said no loss of detail. your right about how it;s done, too. never tried it myself, though!
would be awful tough trying to get yours slabed!!!
Its kind of a neat concept. You whack a silver round with a ball peen hammer as hard as you can and then sell it on eBay for twice its value. Gets rid of your frustrations and instead of paying a shrink, you make a profit. WHAT WILL THEY THINK OF NEXT?

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!
