BEP ending sales of uncut $5 notes

Hi. I wrote about this in my website www.moredeals.com. I think this has some "investment" potential, and at least collectible potential. cheers, alan mendelson

EDIT: I read some of the responses, and sorry, I failed to mention that the article is in "Alan's Notebook" in the top left corner of the homepage. And thanks for the compliments also. Cheers, alan

  • Sorry guys. I should have mentioned that the article is in "Alan's Notebook," which is in the top left corner of the homepage. There are other articles on the BEP sales in the archives of the site. cheers, alan mendelson
  • OK, I just orderd a sheet of 32. The way I figure I just spent $35. May have tied up $195 but only spent $35. well within my comfort zone.
We'll see if your right. I'll get back to you in 20 years image
  • I have also put away a few of the full sheets, and hopefully they will pay off better than my 1964 proof sets and 1999 sba proofs.

by the way, from time to time I order a sheet of one dollar bills and cut them up into blocks of two, three, or four, and use them as "tip money" when I want to get a laugh.

I once used two attached dollar bills to make a "hard ways" bet at a craps table in vegas and it stopped the game while the box man, dealers and pit bosses examined the notes looking for the scotch tape that WASNT there.

youve heard stories about nothing being able to stop the gambling in vegas -- not a fire, not a heart attack -- well, my unique "two dollars bill" did stop the action.

funny thing was, when I handed another of my two-dollars creations to the waitress who brought me a drink at the dice table, she didnt even blink or notice, and just stuffed the bills into her glass on her tray. Hmmm....

    cheers, alan mendelson
