Question Regarding MS Walkers

I had the good fortune (at least I think it was good fortune) to stumble into the Coin Shop today as some very beautiful Liberty Halves had just come in. The shop owner who I know and trust had these reviewed and the consensus is they are all MS63 & 64. I hope to scan these later. The selection was a bit sparse, as I was only able to obtain one mint marked coin. I have been wanting to get started on upgrading at least my short set, and this looked like a great place to start.

The coins I purchased were common - 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46 and 41-D - but they are very excellent in my opinion.

What would you expect to pay for these coins assuming their 63-64 condition? I hope to post scans of these later this evening.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi Frank,
I recently completed my 41-47 short set in Choice AU to MS64 coins. With a few exceptions, I bought these coins from Ebay, Heritage and a couple of shows for $17 to $50. The lower prices for the AU's and the higher for the mintmarked MS63&64 Slabs. The latest Greysheet lists your 41 through 46 coins in 63 at $32-$37 with the 41D listed at $36-$40. In MS64 they are; $35 to $45 with the 41D at $73 to $80. Hope this helps you.
