what's the engram book and why's it an error?

Dunno book. When it comes to patches, I don't pay attention to "book". It's an error because the wrong piece was put in. As you can see the Tony Simmons.. says "Patch variation" and is numbered. the Engram isn't. Here is an official word from Pacific (Joe Merwin) which basically waters it down.

"This looks like it is a patch piece which should have been used for the patch variation. However, because it is not officially a patch variation you should treat it as a really cool jersey card.
