Interesting eBay article on MSNBC

Not sure if this was every mentioned before, but I found this on MSNBC, and it was pretty interesting. It's not directly coin related, but since we do so much on eBay nowadays, I thought some might find it useful. Confessions of a scam artist

it's pretty easy to prove a scam in that example. a laptop either IS a 800 megahertz, or it ISN'T. much more difficult w/ coins. how do you prove a coin IS ms-64, rather than ms-65?

An interesting read. While most people are sharp enough to avoid getting scammed, sometimes at the right place and time you just fall into it. I think the ultimate answer is the best one: caveat emptor, buyer beware. Be vigilant and knowledgeable about what you're looking for.
