Lucy wants to know what your favorite Coin and or memory and also song from the 1950's? Lucy really loves the Franklin half, what a sexy looking man, especially when ol Benny is on Lucy's hundred dollar bills. You've got a friend in Ben Daddy-o! As for my favorite song, I love most of em so I can't really name one, but Lucy doesn't dig the 'pop' artists such as Perry Como, Pat Boone, ect. They were a little to square for the HepKitty!

I've got tickets to see Chuck Berry & Little Richard next month.
<< <i>ooo e ooo ah ah ting tang walla walla wing wang
<< <i> That would be the "Purple People Eater." Of course my personal 50s favorite was an instrumental by B. Bumble and the Stingers called "Nutrocker." I love the Franklins and the BTWs which reminds me of "Groovin" (as in FBLs) by Booker T. and the MGs.
Best song: "16 Tons" - Tennessee Ernie Ford
Best Memory: Swimming all day, all summer.
how about "sh-boom" and "earth angel"?

You are so right. I hate it when I can remember the 50s but can no longer trust my memory. Now where did I put that other 1933 $20 Saint. I know I had it here somewhere.
man, it's scary how many of these i'm starting to remember! didn't grow up in the 50's,but the music was still playing through 60's when i was just a lad.....

Just couldn't get these songs out of my head when I was 5 and 6 years old!
by the Five Satins.I just had a 1958 Seeburg Jukebox Restored.First year with Stereo. What a great sounding machine it is.
TV was still in it's infancy.
Hop-a-long Cassidy. Roy Rogers. Howdy Doody. Sky King. Lassie. And of course......I Love Lucy.
So many fond memories. It truely was a wonderful time for me. I love those Fifties cars too. I've had a '52 DeLuxe, a '53 Chevy, and a '56 Chevy 150. I also had a '61 Chevy, '62 Corvair, '63 Impala,'65 Chevy and a '68 Malibu. Every one a great ride. They don't make 'em like that anymore.
how about the soundtrack to peter gunn? i got that album when i was a kid, pulled it out of my parent's console stereo, the kind that had a spindle & an auto-changer that you would put a stack of records on , & it would drop them on 1 at a time and play em. remember when hi-fi had a single knob for "tone" (no graphics eq's), and if you had separate bass and treble, man you had something special.
dang! if i didn't like coins so dang much, might start collecting vinyl. better than plastic!!!
