New York Coin Shows??

Yeah, big mistake. I did not go to the coin show in July/August when it was in NYC. I figured there would be others but now I'm realizing how big that mistake was. Does anyone have any information on coin shows in the New York area? Big shows? Small Shows? Any Shows?

Any coin dealers on board who have a shop in the Long Island area?

  • Thanks Frank!
I grew up in Floral Park (Nassau) but last year I bought a house in Farmingdale. Thanks for the link, I will check it out ASAP.

  • There are hardly any coin shows in NY. It's such a drag state to live in.image I can't wait to move out.

  • Say it ain't so!!! image

You figure with everything there is in the tri-state area they'd be a few coin shows. Looks like we'll all have to move to California. At least then we'll be able to see some Yankees games on TV.

Actually the NYC area has an abundance of regular coin shows, depending on how far you can travel.

The four-times-a-year White Plains show is the biggest, with either 100+ or 150+ dealers (depending on which two of the four you're going to).

There are monthly shows in New Jersey and Connecticut, and even on Long Island.

There are even a few in Manhattan - the International show in January and perhaps one or two others.

Not only that, but almost all of the upstate cities have regular (or at least annual) coin shows.

If you don't have a subscription to Coin World or Numismatic News, feel free to PM me for more details.

That's good to know. I've actually never been to a coin show, but plan on going to one in the near future. I'm glad there are plenty of opportunities around here.

  • Excellent, Thanks guys. Had I not asked, I would not have found out there are two shows within 5 minutes of my home within a month! I also checked online for coin dealers in my area and found two in the next town over.

It's all starting to come together! My wife cleared out the dining room, I have a make shift desk with lamp that I moved in there and now I just need to move a box and some coins in there and I'm all set! I think I'm getting closer and closer to making this a permament hobby image
