I don't think I've heard of this one, RCGS ??

Folks,

Ever seen the grading service RCGS?

Here is an auction with an RCGS Kennedy

Hmmm... Re-sealable, perhaps. I don't think I'll go for this particular PR69...image

Whoof! I hadn't thought of Russ CGS!
  • RCGS- Really Cheap Grading Service.

I can't wait for the RCGS Registry.

  • That coin's definitely not a pr69.

Certified by RCGS in their new sleek thin plastic cases for the collectors. These coins are professionally graded and designed to be easily removed with scissors to add to your collection!

HAHAHAHA. This has got to be someone's idea of a joke.

I think I am going to spew! All that is is a 2X2 carboard flip and an "insert" stuck in what looks like a plastic baggy. image

I've seen those before! Don't remember when or where--but I saw them somewhere.

I thought this was a joke, but I came across this auction.

Sheesh, I go on vacation and slabbing sinks even lower.

    It's a 2X2 flip in a PCGS bodybag!!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

I see Conder101 snapped it up. Must be one he didn't have.

  • Yes I bought it but I don't consider it to be a true "slab". I'm listing it in the Miscellaneous section.

There is another RCGS service out there though, Rare Currency Grading Service. They only slab paper money.

Conder, do you have a web site set up with all the varieties you've collected? I'd be interested in seeing pics of each variety of slab you've collected.
  • OMFG. There are 3 coins listed on Ebay right now graded with RCGS.

    I'm cold.... so cold...........

  • No I don't have a website, I've been working on a book instead. The text of the book is finished now and I am rounding up the pictures and matching them up to their description pages. That's about 80 - 85% finished. (While I was in the hospital they swapped out my computer and I lost all my primary files. I've been having to track down backup files on several different computers and disks and bring them all together into one machine again. I only have access to that machine for a couple hours a day though.) I'm also working on trying to get a hyperlinked CD-ROM version of the book done as well. (that's why the filers are on the computer that I have limited access to. It's the only one with a CD burner.)
  • Conder101,

When you publish your work, please let me know! I would sincerely be interested in purchasing/viewing/reading your thoughts.
  • P.S. Conder101, I hope you're better!

  • Thank you Classics, I DID buy one. image

Ursabear, don't worry when it gets published it will be announced here and I have your e-mail so I can let you know directly.

I am still slowly improving. I stopped using my wheelchair last Thursday and I haven't used my walker since last Saturday. (I used it at the fall Central States show in Cincinnati where I was standing up for four to six hours at a stretch. Good thing I had it to, after 4 hours of standing both legs started spasming and I needed it to get out to the lobby where I could sit down for awhile.) I've been able to get back on my moped, I started driving again Wed, and I was able to move out of the carpet shop and back home this past Monday.
  • Conder101 - glad to hear that things are improving!

Conder, best wishes for a speedy recovery(even though you are only riding a moped)image-----------BigE
    I'm glad I am a Tree
  • Well the moped is speedier than a wheelchair. Seriously, I own a truck, car, motorcycle, and a moped. I ride the moped by choice. I seldom leave town and the town is only about 2.5 miles across so I can get anywhere in town in just a few minutes on the ped (It does 35 - 40 mph). And when you consider with the ped I have no taxes, no license plates, no insurance, and 100 miles to to the gallon ($2 - $3 for fuel per month.) it's almost a no brainer. The only time it's bad is when it's raining.
