Fast way to tone white coins (without ATing them)

I have a few coins i enharited them from my great grand father. Well it seams that they havent tone and havent even seen the lingt of day since he died we found them in the basement. i dont think they have been cleaned of atleast for quite a while. how should i get them to tone so they dont look un-natural. (without ATing them)

The coins should be left as they are. If they haven't toned then they will probably bring a premium if they are mint state. I wouldn't dink with them.

I would say the best idea is to put them in somekind of a coin holder and not mess with them till you get a handle on what you really have.

they r in plastic holder in tupperware in a cigar box in a fireproof box enough coin holders for ya

That should do it. Oh, put the box in the safe and chain a big dog to the door. That should really do it. Just kidding. Great find. Enjoy them.

Hi, I have been evesdropping and trying to learn more about these coins. I hate to sound dumb but if I don't ask I'll never learn. What is ATing ? I don't know the lingo yet.

AT: Artificial Toning, ie....making color with a torch, etc....

Natural Toning, ie....sitting in the drawer, etc....
