There wasn't squat at this show, but I had to buy something.

I'll admit I'm suprised that it's not a JFK. Didn't have any nice ones to choose from? What did you think about the show??
PS. Be careful with those Morgans, they're addictive!!!!
Sell it to me - I bumped your nickel up!
It's... well...
not my cup 'o tea, but a very interesting coin nonetheless.
You want to hear something funny about that nickel? The guy who bought it was here at my shop today. He got a chance to see it in person; Tim, aka Osiris, aka 5th ranked proof Kennedy set. We had a great time checking out each others coins.
And Don, he has a 1949 golden toned Jefferson that I know you would want - BAD.

That is a BEAUT!
Now that you've found a new love, I'd be glad to make you a ridiculously low offer on your Kennedy set(s).

Very similar toning. For the past few weeks I have tried to buy some of these toned coins. Do you think your Morgan would be graded by PCGS? I'm thinking about sending mine in at some point.

Do ya think he'd sell it to me, seeing as how I ran that nickel through the roof on him!

<< <i>Russ, sorry to burst your bubble but it's AT all the way. >>
You think? Yeah, I knew that. Matter of fact when I bought it, I told the dealer - in a loud enough voice so everyone around could here -"I'll take one of those oven baked Morgans!" Of course, he had some BS song and dance about how he bought them from a dealer he trusts, blah, blah. I told him he could cut the crap, that I was buying it because I thought it was cool.
I'm new, but I'm not stupid. I pay attention to you guys.

Funny thing too was the guy had four of these natural beauties in his display.
After Russ bought it, we circled back around after about 10 minutes.
guess what?
uh-huh... 4 lovely MONSTER TONED Morgans.
Astonishing.
I'll trade ya straight up for this:
I'm not sure, but I think I may have already owned that coin.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

i bet my dad would buy it, if not him i sulerly would. if i had the money.
Glad that you knew it was AT when you purchased it, It's a pretty bullseye, but definitely AT, by the way I have some awsome toned Kennedys that are natually toned, I know this for fact, a couple in 1964 non Mint Set holders that are in Blue cardboard holder with a blue sponge like package underneath the reverse side housed in a plastic holder that can be opened, all the coins have electric colors, I think if I sent the coins in the holder to PCGS they would slab, but if I sent them individually they would probably body bag them because the colors are so intense. I purchased these in the early 70's, all the coins have beautiful colors, I am trying to get a scanner now so that I can post some of my Toners. I dont know much about Kennedys, may need your help someday.
Thanks
