"you can pay more for a PCGS coin, but, the only difference is that it's in a different holder.

NTC...1964 PR69 RD...less than PCGS Nice title SPAM. Anything to get the hits on the auction.

  • Ya, sounds exactly like the argument used in the PCGS vs NGC threads image
  • That happens a lot to name brands. If you are looking for a Hobart mixer (top selling name brand), people will list mixers on ebay as "NOT A HOBART" so when you search for "hobart" it comes up.

Ah, yes, Hobart. The Mercedes of mixers (I used to be in the donut biz.image)

I started an auction once: "PCGS? NGC? ANACS? NO! PCI!" and eBay yanked it. That was back when I didn't know it was bad manners to spam the headline.

My second favorite is those who quote the PCGS price guide for their NTC/ ICG stuff.

well well well.................. my my my.................

personally i like all the grading services but some more than others lots more in fact.....lol
but if i was going to buy something slabbed i would buy the coin not the holder

now if the coin to me is a GREAT!! coin and walks and talks and sings to me well then it is just a very nice bonus!! to have that particiular slabbed coin already in a pcgs holder!

but nonetheless if the coin is to me a GREAT! coin then it doesnot matter to me whose holder it is in!

    sincerely michael
