For Supercoin or anyone else that may know --
What is a 1972 P low/high relief variety? Is there a price difference?
What is the peg leg ike? What years? Is there also a premium for these coins?
Any other varieties, I haven't mentioned?
Thanks
Michael

There are actually three 1972 P types, a low-relief (Type 1), a high-relief accidentally struck with a supposed proof reverse (Type 2), and a high-relief (Type 3). Look at the Earth on the reverse, and compare to a 71-S, 72-S, 73-S business strike which conveniently correspond to the Type 1, Type 2, Type 3.
The 1972 Type 2 is one of the few Ikes to bring a bit of premium in any grade, estimated 100,000 struck.
The Type 1 and Type 3 are both dirt-common until you get to higher grades, and in those grades the Type 1 is far more difficult to find nice than the Type 3.

Refers to the lower left (as you look at it) leg of R in LIBERTY. The peg-leg is missing the lower serif. Both varieties occur in 1971-S proofs and business strikes (and possibly 1972-D, a recent discovery).
The 1971-S proof peglegs are less common than the normal variety, but still very readily obtainable. Only a very modest premium except they seem to be tougher than the normal variety in 69DCAM in my experience.
The 1971-S uncirculated peglegs are quite scarce, and do command a premium. That premium currently varies wildly as they are not currently widely known or collected.

Dozens and dozens! You've covered my favorites, though, as they are major varieties readily recognized with the unaided eye.
