I'm thinking of getting the 43-coin Capital Holders type set. How are these for
1)presentation?
2)protection?

What substance is on the outsides of the coins?

    Capital Holders rock!! Many of my best pieces are in the Capital 3 X 3 acrylic screw together holders. They offer excellent long term protection IMO and look just great too. Many nice coins were in Capital Holders before slabbing became the norm.

    I'll agree with that. I have many of my private sets in Capital plastic. I have taken them to shows for exhibit and get many nice comments. They come in 3-4 colors for the coin placement and are clear front and rear. Protection is great.
