eBay is a laugh a minute when it comes to the "look at my sunglasses and buy my RARE <insert cheap POS> coin" syndrome. I'm going to start archiving these and, after I have enough, dedicate a section of my site to preserve them for posterity. Kind of like time capsule of numismatic stupidity.
If you run across any REALLY stupid ones, preferably auctions that have plenty of ALL CAPS LOUD WORDS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS! from sellers with little or no feedback, let me know. Must be REALLY stupid ones, not just marginally stupidity - that's far too common.

Lincoln Wheats (1909 - 1958) Basic Set - Always Interested in Upgrading!
You might consider organizing them into categories - like Bad Spelling, Rotten Photos, Incoherent Descriptions, I Don't Know Anything About This Except That It's Worth A Fortune (outrageous reserves), and Grand Slam (qualifying in all four of the other categories).
Great idea, Russ!
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
<< <i>I don't think Russ is going to run out of server space. I think his boss can get computer parts wholesale. There should also be a catagory for Famous Phonies like 1804 dollars, 1933 double eagles, obvious fake 1916SLQ etc.

I don't have the link since it closed a while back, but it was a great auction - the sellers first and he joined ebay just to list it.
Seems he had gotten back this half Sacawagea / half SBA in his change. He figured it was worth at least $50 and that he could use the money to buy his college books this year.
All it takes is one, and someone was lucky enough to pick up that gold plated SBA $1 for $50.
