Are there long term storage problems with folders?

I have a large number of Whitman & Harris folders with lots of coins in them (rosies, Jeffs, and lincs are completed) What, if any, long term problems will i have with them? I've heard some albums will give good toning, but is that not a factor since the sulfur isn't there? Should i put them in 2x2's?

I realize this might be a newbie question, but i didn't know to ask!!

Edit: I'm not worried so much about the copper, but more about the silver. Will they go black in the next several decades?

Hey! Something I actually have a small answer for.image I still have the blue Whitman Lincoln folders from when I was a kid. Now, without revealing specifics, "kid" was a long time ago.image The cents all seem just fine. They're all circulated, of course, but they didn't grow any extra crud after all these years.

I have never had any problem with Whitman folders and circulated copper after many years (30 - 40) of storage. I would not store uncirculated coins in them - I've heard stories of the folders causing or contributing to both positive and negative toning, enen if they are sulfur free. For me, I don't take any chances with my MS coins - I store them in a sealed, dehumidified environemnt - maybe I'm just paranoid - but, at least for copper, you can never be too cautious.

The Whitman folders always evoke strong, positive memories.image

I wasn't worried so mucg about the copper, but the silver. All the stuff in folders are circulated, but i don't want them pitch black when i go to give them to great-grandkids.
