Peace Dollar rim clip

A question for the error coin guru's. I purchased a 1924 Peace dollar with a rim clip. The coin is a nice white unc. Probably a 62 or so grade. Any idea about scarcity/rarity of this error. Is it worth the money to slab. Thanks in advance.........

Any kind of error on a silver dollar is a rare find. A clip is a more common error but you rarely see one in a dealer's inventory. The newest price list from the largest error dealer only has 3 and they are minor 1%-3% clips. Collectors of that kind of stuff don't care if it's slabbed or not. It's up to you whether or not you want to slab a $100 coin. Of course unless it's a large clip then it would be a valuable coin.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
  • I'd love to own an error Morgan or Peace dollar.
