What is the max # of the same coin collected?

What is the maximum number of the same coin that you have in your collection? Please include only coins you collect not specimens you bought or somehow acquired that you will resell. Also, why do you have so many of the same item?

  • I have three 1803 S-262 large cents. Why? Because I like them, they list starting at over $100 in good and I've been cherrying them at about $20. They have a very low condition census (10th finest known is only a VF-20 and I cherried a F-15 that is maybe about 12 finest known. I've found a couple of others but I just pointed them out to other collectors who needed the variety and let them have the cherry.
  • I have 40 BU rolls of Lincoln 1955-S. I suppose I should be a little embarrassed by this. It is one of the better dates for the later wheats so hopefully the price will go up some day!image

    I've got 25 32-D quarters (AG - Fine).

Why? Key dates are nice to own. If I can pick up a decent , original example for a fair price, I just do it.

    I also have five 27-S quarters (all ANACS VF20 - VF 30).

Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.

Excluding rolls of Lincoln cents that I searched thru and I want to dump, my duplicates are mainly related to unpublished double dies I have cherried over the years.

Aside from my bulk/hoard stuff, I have 3 1799 8x5 dollars. All are different in terms of their die characteristics, including one that's from a terminal state.

An original roll of Iowa commems?

I didn't even know they came in rolls.

    That's...very...unique.
  • I have a roll of unc silver eagles for every year, since I thought why get one when you can just get 20? I have all sorts of rolls of stuff like BU silver Kennedys, rolls of silver coins and wheaties, and indian heads, and buffalos and V nickels, all that stuff isn't really worth the effort to sell, but I wouldn't just spend it either, so there it sits.
  • I have only been collecting for less than two years but already I have somehow accumulated
thirty kennedy bi-cens, forty ike bi-cens, 20 2001 SAE, and five of every Sac issued. Can you

  • Not counting rolls (which I don't think I collected because of the individual coins) I have four '32-S quarters.
MS65, MS64, MS64 all NGC and 1 raw AU cleaned w/an old scotch tape print that is probably a net F-XF.
Buy the coin...but be sure to pay for it.
